Speak to our friendly team and foster carers

Thinking about fostering and not sure where to start? Our online and face to face information events are a great chance to find out more about fostering from the comfort of your home; offering you the opportunity to watch a short presentation on fostering with our service and to find out more about the support and training we offer, the approval process and the types of foster care schemes we run. Following the presentation you will have a chance to hear from our experienced foster carers and to ask us any questions you may have.

Our face to face drop-in sessions and stands offer the chance to speak to our friendly team and carers and to make an expression of interest in fostering or take some information home with you.

Friday 21 March – Come along to our informal fostering information drop in at Penrith Costa on Angel Square from 12pm to 1pm and speak to our friendly team and carers.
Thursday 3 April - Visit our fostering information stand at the Careers Fair at Carlisle Jobcentre on Lowther Street, from 9:30am to 12pm.
Wednesday 23 April – Join our online fostering information event from 6pm to 7pm and listen to a short presentation about fostering and hear from our local foster carers. To register for our event visit our event booking page.
Friday 16 May – Visit our information stand at Workington Library on Vulcan's Lane, Workington, CA14 2ND, from 1pm to 3pm, and speak to our friendly team and carers during Foster Care Fortnight 2025.
Tuesday 20 May – Join our online fostering information event from 6pm to 7pm and listen to a short presentation about fostering and hear from our local foster carers during Foster Care Fortnight 2025. To register for our event visit our event booking page.
Saturday May 24 - Come along to our formal Information Event during Foster Care Fortnight 2025 in the downstairs meeting room of Penrith Library from 11am to 1pm. You will have the chance watch a short presentation, before hearing from our local foster carers and speaking to our team. To register for our event visit our event booking page.
